The following explanation was supplied to me by F. Griffin: Quite possibly because OPTION VFBUFFERSIZE 60000 requests 60 megabytes for the buffer, and his address space or virtual machine isn't that large. We run with 65536 here just fine, but we also run the address space as REGION=0 which ensures that the needed virtual memory is available. Walter H.
