My question would be whether we can leverage our knowledge of NOMAD in the downsizing process. Would it have been easier going with an entirely new product? Granted that the conversion is non-trivial, but what portion of the mainframe code needs to be rewritten? I understand that the Thomson Consulting group has a tool called the RESIZER that will evaluate mainframe code and assign 5 levels of severity for incompatible code and will let you estimate the effort required to convert. Thanks for the tip about the "Nomad for UNIX Conversion Reference Manual". Stace Cameron Southern Illinois University - School of Medicine scameron@siumed.edu back to index
