NOMAD for DOS version 3.50 (current version), as have several prior
versions, supports TCP/IP client/server access to Oracle and Sybase
on Unix machines. The RDBMS vendor, not the client vendor i.e.
Thomson, provides the communications to support this protocol. Thomson
had to initially write the communications layer using DEC Pathworks
protocol to support client/server to Rdb, but has not written a
similar interface to TCP/IP for Rdb. There are no current plans for
this support to Rdb.
