Subject: INTERVAL Function
X-To: nomad2-l%tamvm1.tamu.edu%external@beta.uc.edu

For a human resources report on accumulated service time shown in
years and days, I am using the Interval function on a start date
and end date. Since INTERVAL will only return the interval in
either days or years, I tried a little routine of my own, but the
results are not always satisfying.

Anyone already invented this wheel and willing to share?
How about information on getting the julian equivalent of a date
in NOMAD?

NB: An example of my sour result: when the start date is 040377
and the end date is 033095, my routine returns the elapsed years
as 17 and the elapsed days as 366. Desired result: 18 years and
0 days.

Thank you to any and all who reply!
