    RE: Accessing temporary disk

We're on release 453 of NOMAD2 here at TAMU, on some release of VM/SP/XA.
Normally I execute a procedure before getting into NOMAD that defines, formats,
and accesses additional disk. I am able to enter the following sequence of
commands in NOMAD:
SYS CP DEF T3380 500 5 !Allocate 5 cylinders at virtual address 500!
SYS FORMAT 500 D !Format disk as D!
1 !Yes to format and erase!
       TEMP !Label for disk!

When you say that your commands blow up, does your NOMAD2 session get dumped
down to CP, or what? Is ther enough system disk available to give you
some temporary?
My sure-fire cure to most NOMAD2/VM snafus is to go home and sleep on them.
It's amazing the number of problems that get solved overnight.
